Western Marketing Association

The Western Marketing Association is Western Connecticut State University's award-winning collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association. WMA provides students with valuable opportunities to connect with peers, industry professionals, and alumni. Through workshops, networking events, and hands-on projects, WMA creates a space where students can sharpen their marketing skills and build real-world experience. WMA hosts weekly workshops hosted by industry professionals and provides innovative marketing services through its student ad agency, Agency@Ancell.

Platinum Circle Chapter 2024

The Western Marketing Association (WMA) has received several notable awards recognizing its commitment to excellence and leadership in marketing education. Most recently, WMA was recognized as a Platinum Circle Chapter 2024. WMA is also a 4 time Top Small Chapter award winner. Every year WMA enters various competitions by the American Marketing Association, giving the chance to our members to get their marketing skills recognized.

Agency@Ancell

WMA's Agency@Ancell is a student-run marketing agency that serves the local community. Agency@Ancell offers a range of services, including branding, digital marketing, and strategic planning, all delivered by motivated students eager to make a difference. 

Speaker Sessions

Every Tuesday a marketing professional shares their insight in a variety of fields with our students. Students gain the chance to sharpen their marketing skills and network during these valuable speaker sessions.

Collegiate Chapter:
American Marketing Association

The American Marketing Association (AMA) was established in 1937, and is today the top organization for marketing professionals and marketing leaders in the field. This top tier organization boasts a membership count of over 30,000, along with over 250 collegiate chapters located all across the United States.  These innovators and students achievers have completely redesigned the field of marketing, and aim to everyday improve the effect that marketing has on businesses, customers, and society as a whole.

The American Marketing Association has countless benefits for its members, and as students, these are the resources that will help gain a competitive edge in the workforce.
